Your Job Description

You will lead the end-to-end technical implementation and daily operations of the test activities concerning an on-board software application running in customer vehicles. This application is managed by our team and is responsible for sending vehicle data to our cloud infrastructure, to allow data analytics of real usage of the autonomous driving system
As a technical test manager, your mission will be to ensure that each new release of the on-board application is properly and thoroughly tested and that it is able to run smoothly on millions of customer vehicles
Your activities will include, among others: define success KPIs and test scenarios, implement tools for testing and test orchestration, perform relevant data analytics at scale in the cloud and in our data center, and execute tests in our HiL (hardware in the loop) stations and in our test vehicles
You will lead an external software development team that will support you in the implementation of the test activities. You will also coordinate with other stakeholders inside and outside our organization
This is a hands-on position: you will code, debug, drive the car, run tests and perform data analysis on a daily basis
As part of our agile teams, you will be responsible for achieving jointly set project goals

Your qualification profile

A University degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification.Proven industry experience (5+ years) in testing automotive software.
Proven industry experience in vehicle test principles, lifecycle, design and operations, with strong focus on testing on-board software components
Strong knowledge in handling vehicle measurement technology, ECUs and test equipment, in vehicle communication standards, and in vehicle test operations
BMW driving licenses B1, B2, E1 is mandatory
Business fluent in German and English
Experience in data analytics and big data technologies (e.g. Apache Spark) is a plus
Knowledge of driver assistance preferred
Experience in working in the cloud (e.g. AWS) is a plus
